mama sewed! i made this little patchwork bib for a blessing shower i attended this afternoon. it was my first time playing with free motion quilting. the verdict, i like it quite a lot. the random pattern it creates is right up my alley!
i also plyed that wool that i started spinning on easter sunday. now i am looking for the perfect scarf pattern for it. it is a heavy worsted and i have roughly 200 yards. any suggestions for me?
I'm sure more experienced knitters can give you the perfect scarf pattern, but something open and lacy would be perfect for spring!

I found that free motion quilting is highly addictive. I pretty much want to quilt everything.
ReplyDeleteThe wool you spun is gorgeous! It is hard for me to think about scarves when it is 80 degrees here today, but I agree that it should be loopy and open so you can wear it on chilly spring evenings.

Love the bib...it turned out great! The yarn looks great. Have you ever done a potato chip scarf? Im making one with a polyester/cotton blend, but Im sure it would work with wool. Let me know if you need directions.
