these little tee shirts had been cut out and ready to sew for months- i finally buckled down and stitched them all a few afternoons ago. and just look at how sweet!!
it occurred to me when i got outside with my camera that i had intended to iron them before taking pictures. and notice how i am not fickle at all about which direction the fronts cross over. i made duplicates of most of the prints to add to my baby gift stash.
and here are the cute little hats to match. again, i made a few extra to pass along to our expecting friends!
the tees and hats are all sewn from the new conceptions baby essentials pattern. i love this pattern somuch- if you have a little one to sew for go check it out!
now... moving on to receiving blankets and changing pad covers...
three weeks to go, three weeks to sew!

These are adorable! I want to make some, but I'm terrified of sewing with Knits.
Adorable! Where did you buy the knits-- are they all mad sky?
you're so talented! i'm inspired! i love how the shirts don't all cross over the same way, it's great! :)
These shirts and hats are soooo sweet! Nicely done! Just found your blog and am looking forward to keeping up with your posts in the future.

They turned out so cute! I love that pattern....it sews up pretty fast and makes a great new baby gift.
Oh sweet, sweet!! As though I needed something else to add to the list of things to 'make for baby'!!!
I have only one week left, at most, but I am putting it on the list anyway:)
Thanks for sharing!
thank you for all the kind comments!!
freda :: knits were a bit daunting to me at first too- i suggest just diving in and giving it a try! there are a couple books out about sewing with knits. perhaps your library has them available!
ally's threads :: i don't think any of them are mad sky, but i could be wrong :) i bought most of them through a diaper sewing friend's co op and the cream colored knit with the little birds and snails and butterflies came from jo anns, if you can believe it!
be :: thanks mama!! :)
miss sews-it-all (erika!) :: thanks a bunch! i am glad you stopped in to visit :)
frugalmom :: thanks monique! i agree, wonderful pattern. i think i may do the ribbing on the cuffs differently next time as we discussed at the park :)
earth mama :: 1 week, how exciting!! i have about 3 weeks left! we will have tiny babes very close in age :)
