this is a variation of the irish cream recipe i posted last year. obviously with a new baby on the way i will refrain from sipping irish cream in my coffee this holiday season. instead i plan to see how many bottles of this dreamy concoction i can knock back before january...
here is the recipe ::
peppermint mocha
2 TBSP instant coffee or espresso powder
2 TBSP chocolate syrup
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 cups whipping cream (one pint)
1 can sweetened condensed milk
3/4- 1 cup peppermint flavored syrup
blend, pour into clean bottles, and add liberally to your favorite brewed coffee. i like to use the flavored syrup empties to bottle it up. this will last 2-3 weeks stored in the refrigerator, but come on, who is going to let this sit around that long?! calorically speaking, this stuff is every bit as evil as the store bought flavored creamers, however, this sweet indulgence can be made without a single drop of high fructose corn syrup, depending on what kind of chocolate syrup you use.

Thats sounds to die for!!!
I was thinking for my Neices and Nephews of doing a non-coffee one!
Depending on what kind of chocolate syrup you use... off to go check the labels! Some times I wonder where my brain is...
About the recipe, great idea! I know Mark would love this, but where to hide it?? lol
yes, that torani syrup in the first photo has no HFCS in it. it is a bit spendy, but we only use it for coffee drinks and such. most of the other choc. syrups have HFCS in them :(
where do you get the peppermint syrup? this sounds so yummy! i plan on making some.
liz, i often buy my syrup at the grocery store (torani's brand) but you can also buy it locally at cash and carry for like $3.50 a bottle. they have every flavor imaginable and quite a few organic syrups as well.
sweet! i'm going there tomorrow because i can't seem to stop dreaming of peppermint mochas....mmm!
Wonderful!!! I can't wait to try it. :)
Love Val
Oh that sounds amazing! I may have to give this one a try!
