Tell us about yourself and the wonderful things that you create!
I am a Canadian girl who loves the cool weather and all the wonderful knitting opportunities!  I homeschool my 8 children (ok, my oldest is in College now!) and work part time designing knitting patterns and work at our Post Office.  I have a background in sewing garments & quilting.  I love creating garments that are seamless, comfortable and last more than one season, as well as unisex patterns.

When did you learn your craft and who taught you?

My maternal grandmother taught me how to cast on, knit, purl & cast off, when I was 4 years old.  I made a pink variegated pillow and still have it :)  From there, my Aunt taught me how to crochet, sew & quilt and I learned how to read and design patterns.  Cabbage Patch outfits & miniature doll clothing were my specialty way back when :)

Where do you get inspiration for your handmade items?

My children and nature inspire me every single day.  They teach me what is comfortable and fun; my favorite things are hoods, stripes and colors!

Are there any new items in the works for your shop?

Always!  I currently have in testing, the Organic Seasons Blanket & matching Jacket. These are two of my favorite projects that I have created and are perfect for boys or girls.  The blanket features one season per side & is available in 3 sizes; lovie, stroller & crib (shown).  The jacket features a wave pattern, motif border, seamless construction & an asymmetrical opening, in sizes 3 months - 10 years.  They should both be available early November :)  Also, upon much request, 2 new Union Suit patterns; one for sizes 4- 14 years & one for ADULTS!

Do you have any other hobbies or passions?
I am a scrapbooker, crocheter, sewer & quilter....once upon a time.  Eventually, I will get back to these crafts :)  In the present, I have time for cooking & knitting & little-children-hugging :)

Please let us know where we can find you - etsy, blog, facebook, etc.

I was bummed to miss the testing for this union suit. It's such a cute pattern. I would knit 3: one for my baby due in December, one for my 2 year old and one for my 4 year old! Rav amchart

So so sweet! I would knit one for my 3 year old Megan, since she'd LOVE it, then a couple as baby and birthday gifts for upcoming events. Such a great universal pattern! <3

I would knit this for either my 4 year old nephew or the new baby my neighbors will be having next spring. And don't be surprised if I scale it up and knit it for me. Looks very cosy for cold winter nights.

My sister is due with her first baby in December - we don't know if it's a boy or a girl but this pattern would work for either.

Thanks -

Oh, SO cute! My 5-month-old nephew needs one of these, and a friend is expecting a girl in February, so she will also need one. I'd knit at least two. :)

While I think a little girl could so pull this off, I am hoping to have a little boy... someday... and would love to make this pattern for him:) Thanks for the chance!

I would knit this adorable union suit for my 7 month old daughter Beatrix. I'm not sure what sizes it comes in, but I have a petite 6 year old, Hazel, and I'm sure she'd love a matching one!

I have a choice: a 2 yr old grandson or an 18 mo old granddaughter. Or just go for one for each!
