I completely and totally agree. Erika, this really spoke to me in a deep way and I hope that you find your January filling your personal cup as you give so much - you should take this time to give to yourself! I love the concept of a birthday month, that's perfect! I have the hardest time accepting being gentle with myself and slowing down to listen. Furthermore, I think it's an issue we just don't talk enough about with people today. It doesn't mean we need to rant and rave or bitch our brains out - but the simple fact of saying "this is rough and I am disappointed in not accomplishing everything I feel I need to" isn't a failure - its a success to be uplifted by the mamas and friends nearest you. We are so blessed to have such great friends near by, that judge not by the list of accomplished crafts, personal projects and immaculateness of our put together children - but instead, we look to the content of each others hearts.
You're super in my eyes...but your challenge for January is something I need to take to heart myself. I'm struggling to remember I can't do it all, nor should I even try. Peace and happy birth month
